Which wineries will we visit?
There is no set schedule of wineries. Our tour drivers like to customize their tours to take advantage of the best winery experiences available on that day. They take a great deal of pride in the winery itineraries they put together. With so many wonderful wineries in this area, there is no reason to put on a "one size fits all" wine tour.
Is there any way to know in advance which wineries we'll visit?
Mostly, not. Sometimes we have some idea, though. Wineries may have special events or limited time programs that we'll go out of our way to take part in. When we know, we are happy to share that information - give us a call.
How many wineries will we see?
We'll taste at four different winery tasting rooms. You will eat lunch at one of those and usually, do a full tour at one.
May we pick the wineries?
If your group occupies the whole vehicle, we are happy to take you to the wineries of your choice, as long as those wineries permit us to visit that day. If you are sharing the bus with others, your tour driver will take responsibility for planning the best tour day possible for the entire group.
Do you ever accommodate winery requests?
Yes, we try to accommodate specific requests whenever we can. Usually, we cannot promise any particular winery. Some wineries are much easier to visit than others. Cakebread, for instance, is not easy to visit, since they receive so many visitors already. Please drop us a line with any winery or wineries in which you are particularly interested.
How do you determine which wineries would be best for our group?
- Rave reviews from previous tour groups
- Smaller, non-touristy locations
- Excellent wines, moderately priced
- Warm & friendly service
- Wine preferences of on-board guests
- Perks available (cave tours, barrel-tasting, wine-make available, etc)
How long will we spend at each winery?
No set time. Some winery experiences take longer than others. The average is about an hour at each winery. We'll spend a little longer at whichever of the wineries we use for our facility tour and our picnic lunch.
