Winemaking, for them, is a natural extension of farming. Steve and Jill have both worked for many years in the sustainable agriculture and local food movement, and in 2003 they started Matthiasson Wines based on those values. Their wines are classical expressions of different grape varieties, some well-known like Chardonnay and Cabernet sauvignon, and some rare like Ribolla gialla and Refosco. The wines are refreshing, complement food, and are moderate in alcohol.
The Corley family owns and manages some of the finest vineyard properties in the world and from them are wines produced of singular quality and distinction. The 80 acre Monticello Vineyards estate in the Napa Valley with vineyards and winery, tasting room, as well as culinary and hospitality facilities has been a destination for fine wine lovers and visitors from around the world since the 1980’s.
Established by the French Sparkling Wine house GH Mumm in the late 1970’s, the winery produces Sparkling Wines with grapes sourced from over 50 vineyards considered to be the finest sources of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Also visit their photography gallery.
