This spectacular winery is set on 560 acres ranging in elevation from 600 to 1,600 feet above sea level, with panoramic views of the Napa Valley and beyond. The formal gardens, underground wine caves and elements of the owners English and Chinese heritage make this one of the most striking wineries to visit in Napa.
Owned since the 1980’s by the MacDonnell family, the 468 acre estate is sustainably farmed with vineyards, olive trees and culinary gardens. Estate vineyards give the winemaker complete control over all aspects of the winemaking process, as evidenced by the spectacular wines produced here.
The new home estate is located high atop Spring Mountain with sweeping views from Marin to the Sonoma Coast. The wines show the intensity of mountain grown fruit and balanced elegance.
More often than not, there are more dogs at Tres Sabores than people! Owner Julie Johnson’s own three dogs are always happy to accompany you on a vineyard tour. Other employees dogs fill out the roster of six. And what a great place to be a dog: acres of vineyards, a culinary garden and even a wine cave!
