The Nachbauer’s founded their hidden gem of a winery in 1990 which is located at the Northern end of the Russian River. This quaint winery sits in the cool Russian River Valley climate making it the perfect place to accommodate over 60 planted varieties of Italian and French grapes. With a production of under 3000 cases annually, Acorn is known for their field blend red wines which are inter-planted, harvested, and fermented together creating balanced food-friendly wines. The owners host you personally which creates a relaxed down-to-earth feel without crowds. A tasting and vineyard walk will educate you on their Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Dolcetto, Sangiovese, and Syrah blocks of grapes which are blended the day they are picked.

A winding road with breathtaking views of Lake Hennessy, Pritchet Hill, and the San Pablo Bay, Amizetta beckons your senses as you reach your destination. The steep hillside boasts the perfect terrain for their 2,200 square foot barrel cave with extreme golf carting the hilly vineyards. This property sits along the Silverado Trail corridor into beautiful Calistoga at the foot of the Palisade Mountains. With a clean slate of 2.25 acres to build their dream, the parcel was purchased and Brian and Arden set in to make that dream a reality. Four years later, in 2014, the winery was ready for its first harvest in the new building with state-of-the-art equipment. In May of 2015 the hospitality center was opened and the pouring began with the opening of a 2008 Cabernet Franc. With a small team of highly educated wine lovers, three dogs and two winemakers on hand, Brian Arden Winery runs as small family business producing less than 2500 cases a year.
