Tour Description

Sonoma Valley is known for its picturesque rolling hills and rustic oak trees, along with a very charming town plaza, complete with one of California’s famed and historic Franciscan missions. It also boasts a mild coastal climate and numerous lovely wineries dotting the landscape.

This small-group tour will be a fun, relaxing day visiting a curated selection of intimate lesser-known wineries. Your tour guide will share stories and anecdotes, as well as imparting just the right amount of details about winemaking and grape growing. It’s a social experience, with most of our guests making new friends by the end of the day.

What’s Included

  • Visits three smaller and/or family-owned winery properties.
  • Pick-up and drop-off at your hotel or other point of origin.
  • Access to explore the winery grounds and see various aspects of the winemaking process.
  • Tasty picnic box lunch, served on the grounds at a scenic winery.
  • Brief stories, anecdotes and non-boring winemaking information will be shared by your driver/guide.
  • Wherever possible, we’ll arrange access to winery owners / winemakers.

What’s Not Included

  • Winery tasting fees (For our Small-group tour guests, wineries offer a significantly discounted tasting fee of $25 per person. This fee is usually waived for anyone purchasing wine or joining that winery’s wine club).
  • Driver/Guide Gratuity (Driver tipping is at your discretion, except for parties of 5 or more traveling together. We’ll add a 20% gratuity for those).

“There are so many wineries to choose from, so it’s nice having all the details planned for you.” – TERRI C., ROCKWELL, TX – As reviewed on Yelp

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel your join-in tour reservation anytime up to 24 hours before the tour with no penalty. Cancellation fee of $35 per person will apply to any cancellations made within 24 hours of tour departure.

What about winery tasting fees?

If you choose to taste at the winery, they will charge you a tasting fee. These fees typically run about $25 per person, per winery, but each fee is often waived with wine purchase or by joining their wine club.

Which wineries will we see?

Each of our tours heads off to a different selection of wineries (so many to choose from…) Have you already seen a few? Please let us know which ones when you book your tour so that we can make sure not to repeat any.

What sort of vans are used for this tour?
Our vehicles are small tour shuttles. They have perimeter seating, like a conversation pit, so guests can better get to know each other, and better take in fabulous scenery.
Will the shuttle pick up from my lodging location?

Yes…well, maybe. Some private addresses are inaccessible or too remote for our shuttles. Please call us with the address and we’ll check for you. This tour often picks up in the towns of Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, & downtown Napa.

What if we’re staying outside of the area?

Some folks drive in to our nearest meeting location. Some book a private tour instead, since we have a much wider pick-up radius for those.

Do you allow for food allergies or dietary restrictions?

We operate our own commercial kitchen and have a culinary team, so we can generally accommodate most food allergies or dietary restrictions.
