This is a daylong tour of a northern California wine region. You can have your choice of Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley or the Russian River / North Sonoma County area.
What to Expect
This is a social tour, so you can expect to meet people and get to know them over the course of the day. Usually, we will have eight to twelve guests on board. Your guide/driver will point out landmarks and wineries along the way, telling stories and talking about local history and wine-making, as well as cluing you in about the culture of the area.
Which Wineries
Our tour itineraries are customized every day by the guide/driver, based on feedback from the group and the best selection of wineries available for that day. We are very fond of smaller wineries: family-owned, historic, off-the-beaten path, but there are no strict rules. We are careful to avoid taking people to places they may have already visited.
Pick-Up
If you are staying in a hotel or inn close to the wine region you'd like to tour, we will most likely be able to pick you up and drop you off at that place. Otherwise, we'll meet you at a pre-arranged public place that has parking.
Duration
Our tours usually last from about 10:30am to 4:30 or 5:00pm.
What's Included
We provide a picnic lunch, served by your tour guide/driver on the grounds of one of the wineries. We also serve a cheese platter and plenty of bottled water on board the bus.
What's Not Included
Tasting fees at the wineries.
