Mr & Mrs Belt

first look happiness - blk n wht

Recently Sheena and John Belt toured with us and brought their family and friends along with them.  Using the Blended Bliss Package for their pre-”big day” mood setter, they were able to give their wedding guests a chance to relax and enjoy the wine valley.  I personally had the blessed opportunity to work closely with Mrs. Belt herself and loved every minute of it.  A few words from the new Mrs. Belt herself!…

Platypus: “How did you and John Meet, and how in fact did he pop the big question?”

Mrs. Belt:  “John and I are both Officers in the U.S. Air Force and met while we were stationed in Japan.  What started off as a friendship due to overlapping social circles eventually blossomed into a wonderful romance.  John proposed at Australia’s Sydney Opera House during New Years Eve 2011-2012 after both of us had returned home from deployments in Iraq.  Spending New Years at the Opera House was a close-held secret that was revealed to me as we arrived at the iconic landmark—after he treated me to hair and makeup pampering and insisted that I dress to compliment a tuxedo!”

Platypus:   ”How did you stumble across Platypus Wine Tours while living all the way over in Florida?”

Mrs. Belt:   “I actually stumbled across the Platypus Website (thank God) trying to organize a wine tour for my family and wedding party as an activity to do prior to the “big day”.  When I read that Platypus would organize the wine tour and transportation for everyone at an EXTREMELY reasonable price (another thanks for God), I jumped right on the bandwagon!  I was beginning to stress about how to secure transportation and divide the cost amongst my guests without knowing exactly how many would attend…ugh…logistics!?”

Platypus:  “How did your personalized website work out for you?”

Mrs. Belt:   “Besides not having to plan the logistics of setting up a wine tour for an unknown amount of guests, the website was truly helpful in that each guest could secure their spot with their own credit card—John and I didn’t have to cover the costs up front—which was so nice considering we were already spread thin with all the other costs associated with a wedding.

Platypus:   “How was your experience during the Planning stages of your tour?”

Mrs. Belt:   “Planning was easy—all I had to do was tell the Platypus representative what we envisioned and they did the rest!  They were extremely flexible every-time we wanted to add or subtract something to our tour, and they bent-over-backwards to ensure our desires were met!  I cannot imagine the chaos and stress planning a wine tour would’ve been if I had to secure everything myself…yikes!?”

Platypus:   “How did you like the wineries you visited?”

Mrs. Belt:   “Our idea was to visit some of the wineries we had considered to be our wedding venue so we could share our “top picks” with our guests.  We had requested Chateau St Jean and St Francis, and Platypus found Buena Vista Winery as a bonus!  Buena Vista Winery was not only beautiful and had wonderful wines…but they also allowed our group to have our picnic lunch on their grounds—Wonderful!!”

Platypus:   “Did you enjoy your guide?”

Mrs. Belt:   “Our guide was wonderful—we have zero complaints!”

Platypus:   “Was your tour all that you expected?”

Mrs. Belt:   “Our tour was even better than we had expected—our guests had an AMAZING time and it was definitely THE PERFECT ice breaker and bonding session to have before the wedding.”

“We are so happy you enjoyed your tour with Platypus and look forward to seeing you in the future”  “Thanks so much for everything—the next time we’re in town, we’re definitely doing another tour!!”
Congratulations again to the newlyweds!!! May your life be filled with love, laughter, and WINE!
