What Linda’s tour guests have to say about her:

“I had toured with Platypus two times prior (both several years ago), and this recent tour did not disappoint. Linda was a great tour guide – caring, personable and knowledgeable. My mother, who joined the tour and doesn’t drink much, but also loved the tour as well. I think that truly speaks to the fantastic experience that Platypus provides.”

“What a fabulous tour!! The best of all was Linda our Driver and tour guide. She was fantastic!! She was very knowledgeable and gave a great tour of all the areas we drove through in and around the wine country. She also made wonderful choices in her winery selections!!”

Meet Linda Q & A:

1 ) What is your favorite area restaurant?

Breakfast-Boon Fly Cafe Lunch-Gotts Dinner-Bistro Don Giovanni

2) What was the last bottle of wine you drank?

In honor of my daughters 30th birthday we opened the 2016 Frank Family Winston Hill Cabernet.

3) What is one of the most amusing stories from a tour?

I picked up an internationally known Latin singer (on a private runway no less) and took his family wine tasting in Napa. I don’t speak much Spanish so there was a lot of pointing and laughing.

4) What previous job proved to be relevant in your tour guide career?

I was in hotel sales for over 20 years and took a lot of folks on property tours. It also helps that I’m from the south and a chatty gal.

5) Most memorable tour?

I took my three adult daughters and 10 of their friends on a Sonoma tour. It was both hilarious and exhausting!

6) Favorite comfort food?

(Remember I’m from New Orleans) Chicken and andouille sausage gumbo over rice with potato salad floating on top. If you take my tour I’ll give you the recipe!

7) What are your hobbies/interests?

Hanging with grandkids, hiking, golfing, gardening, traveling, reading, going to flea markets.

8) What non-winery things do you enjoy in wine country?

Love browsing Napa and Sonoma county antique stores.
