Join-in Tour North Sonoma, Russian River and Healdsburg

$129 on Fridays, $139 on Saturdays

Picnic lunch included – winery tasting fees are extra

This tour operates on Fridays & Saturdays.

Many would argue that this is the most authentic of the region’s wine country areas. And those advocates might have a point, given that the ratio of small family wineries is the highest here. Add to that the lovely rolling green hills, the myriad of trees and the simple rustic charm, and what emerges is an enclave that will absolutely steal your heart.

What An Amazing Experience

“Courtney our driver, made us feel so welcomed and assured us that we are going to have a fantastic day! She was extremely attentive to everyone’s needs. She took us to three different wineries in Sonoma as my daughter loves Pinot Noir. We met some fabulous people during our tour and lunch was very fresh and yummy! I suggest you book with this tour company! Only way to go!!”

A Platypus wine tour makes for a great social experience; ideal for individual travelers, couples and small groups of friendly people. You’ll share a small group shuttle bus with 8 to 12 wine adventurers and visit a selection of small, intimate back roads wineries, carefully chosen by your driver/guide, who will point out notable landmarks and wineries as your travel through this very beautiful region. You can expect to be toured through some of the production areas and walk among the vines of one or more of the wineries. This is not a cookie-cutter package tour – it’s a different serendipitous experience every day; always informative and always fun!

Our Join-In Wine Tour of North Sonoma is priced at $129 per person on Fridays & $139 per person on Saturdays. This tour is not offered every day, so please check for availability. Tasting fees at the wineries are not included and are charged extra by the wineries. These fees typically run about $20-$25 per person, per winery. All Join-In Wine Tours include a tasty picnic lunch served by your tour guide/ driver on the grounds of one of the wineries.  Our tours usually last from about 10:30am to about 5:00pm. Pick-up is from Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Windsor and Healdsburg (hotels, rentals and from selected meeting spots for those driving in for the day).

Wine Tasting Fees

Tasting fees at the wineries are not included and are charged extra by the wineries, compensating them for the wine they pour for guests. These fees typically run about $20-$25 per person, per winery. Some tasting fees can be higher in the region, but Platypus works hard to cultivate relationships with our winery partners in order to keep the fees at an average of $20-$25 per person, per winery. Because of our partnerships, almost any of the wineries on our Join-In Tours will often waive a tasting fee with a bottle purchase or wine club membership.

If you have any additional questions about wine tasting fees, please don’t hesitate to call us at (707) 253-2723 or see our Wine Tasting Fees FAQs page.
