If you’re a pet owner that you already know how much a pet can add to your life by giving you their unconditional love and how they’ve enhanced your life! If you’re a pet lover but unable to have one at home here’s another great reason to visit wine country as the Valleys are populated with a variety of “wine animals.” While Dogs get the most attention as they’re featured in various books such as “Winery Dogs” by Winery Dogs Publishing or the “Wine Dogs USA” Calendar the Cats, Goats & Sheep are beginning to gain public popularity and efforts are being made for them to get some quality face time!
We’re thrilled that with our new blog we get a chance to introduce you to some of our favorite winery pets that you’ve hopefully had the chance to meet or will get to when you’re on one of our tours. We LOVE seeing your smiles that are generated by a dog welcoming you to the winery, a kitty that’s decided you have the best lap to purr in or lots of baby sheep that are hanging out with their mamas chomping away on vineyard grass.
Our owner Don and his wife Kathy are proud parents to (2) Golden Retrievers – Gertie & JP and (1) little Jack Russell mix – Rosco. Having rescued all three dogs they are avid supporters of various rescue operations and love promoting pet friendly establishments in the valley.
