I strolled through Downtown Napa recently and marveled at all of the new businesses that have opened since March 2020. I want to share with you all of the new restaurants you may try on your next visit to Napa Valley.

  • Empress M There aren’t too many Chinese restaurants to choose from in Napa. This is Napa’s first dim sum restaurant serving lunch and dinner. They also have main dishes including Peking duck and traditional Dan Dan noodles.
  • Fleetwood Calistoga This casual Italian and Mediterranean wood-fired cuisine is found in the town of Calistoga at the Calistoga Motor Lodge. Open Thursday-Monday for dinner. There are private dining rooms to celebrate as well.
  • Regiis Ova Lounge – Thomas Keller has created a one-of-a-kind pop-up caviar and champagne lounge in the town of Yountville. In the former Redd space, you can indulge in Champagnes from France and carefully sourced caviar. Visit now before it is gone.
  • La Cheve Bakery and Brews – Growing up in Napa, Cinthya Cisneros, opened a brewery and bakery in a historic landmark. The Adobe is one of the oldest buildings in Napa, and she resurrected this space. This family business opened in May 2020. Cinthya offers homemade brews as well as Mexican-inspired dishes.
  • House of Better – Located at Dr. Wilkinsons in Calistoga, this restaurant offers healthy and comfort food with a southwest flair. I would be inclined to try the green chile apple pie including a cheddar and walnut crust or maybe the chile maple bacon
  • Petit Soleil – A new breakfast and lunch spot in Downtown Napa. Enjoy a breakfast benedict to kick start your day with a hearty meal or grab a pastry and coffee for something light.
  • North Block Located in Yountville at the North Block Hotel, this culinary team who most recently was part of Momofuku has created a Californian cuisine with an Asian twist.
