Add to your special wine country wedding experience by offering your guests an unforgettable private wine tour as part of the festivities. They'll visit several charming, hidden gem wineries as a group and enjoy the services of a personable, informed tour guide who will introduce your participating guests to the wines, the wineries and the local stories behind them.
This package is designed to be as straight-forward and hassle-free to all parties involved, particularly for the bride and groom and their families, who are no doubt already fully occupied with every other aspect of planning and organizing a wedding in the wine country.
Let's say you want to offer a no-host wine tour for your guests who will be in town to celebrate your wedding. Since your guests would choose to participate and pay their own way for the tour, you are probably not sure how many would participate.
Naturally, they would like to know the price per person, which is sort of tricky, because it's difficult to arrive at a firm price without knowing how many guests are participating. (And what if some have to cancel later?)
Some guests tend to cancel the tour at the last minute or just don't show (which is common). When this happens, the remaining guests end up paying more than they anticipated or whoever organized the tour ends up having to pay the balance.
Per person pricing for group wine tours. When you make your reservation for this tour (no deposit required), we'll set up a special Reservation Page on the Platypus Wine Tours website that is customized for your event, including the date, time and particulars, as well as a photo of the happy couple that you provide.
We'll create a link to this page that you may share with your wedding guests (on your wedding website, on the invitations, by email, Facebook, Twitter or carrier pigeons – whichever way works best for you).
Your tour guide will be assigned, and he or she will contact you with suggestions about wineries and/or local attractions. Once you've given us your input, we'll work out all of the logistics, including picnic lunch.
Your guests may follow the website link, view the tour description and sign up on their own using your special Reservation Form. We'll send each of them a detailed tour confirmation, keep track of the reservations and will share that information with you whenever you'd like to know.
At the reservation cut-off date (usually about three weeks before your tour) we'll take stock of your guest count and reserve the appropriate sized vehicle.
On the day of your wine tour, your bus and tour guide will arrive to pick up you and your guests (from different hotels, if necessary). We'll show you all a great time and return you all safely to your pick-up locations.
Wedding Wine Tour Pricing:
$85 per person (no lunch) or $99 per person (picnic lunch included). Winery tasting fees and gratuity are not included. No charge for the bride and groom for parties of 12 or more guests.
A non-refundable fee of $99 will be applied to set-up the wedding link. This fee can be applied towards a guest reservation or in the event of cancellation a Gift Certificate will be issued for that value. A credit card will be required for this fee at the time of booking.
These rates are based on a wine country pick up and drop off address. Rates are also subject to availability.
