It is reputed by many vinophiles that as a group the Russian River wineries are among some of the finest in Northern California, rivalling those of the nearby Napa Valley. The Russian River Valley was approved as an American Viticultural Area in 1983. A vistor will the opportunity to sample outstanding Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir wines, as as exemplary Merlots and Zinfandels.
