Not only is Napa Valley home to some of the most renowned wines and amazing Napa Wineries, it hosts some important events for the community throughout the year. Starting this upcoming Wednesday July 10th, the annual Festival Napa Valley kicks off its yearly event of bringing the importance of the performing arts to the forefront of the community. Festival Napa Valley is one of the most important weekends in Napa, raising over $10,000,000 to date for preforming arts in the community, schools, economy, education, and the overall enriching benefits the arts have. This includes an abundant $1,000,000 that has been reinvested into the art programs for public schools right here Napa County! Talk about a great event with a great cause.
The Festival Napa Valley originally began in 2006 and has grown too have thousands of attendees each year in support of the performing arts. The festival now features over 200 artists from all over the world who will showcase their talents during this exciting weekend. This year the famed four-time Grammy award-winner SEAL will be the main headliner for the ever important fundraising “Arts for All Gala.” This night will be filled with music, a live auction, delicious food, and of course some incredible wine hosted at the HALL Winery in St. Helena. To attend the “Arts for All Gala,” there is only limited inventory and exclusive to donors of the Festival Napa Valley and multi-way patrons.
The festival’s primary goal is to share the importance of education and the performing arts. Over 1,500 students will be able to experience some amazing performances for free during the festival dates. In addition the funds raised by this weekend go back to the community to help support the “Arts for All” camp during the summer months for children. In addition an impressive 6,000 concert tickets will be completely free to seniors, veterans, and families to attend concerts throughout the week. While attending as a patron to the festival can come with a hefty price tag, it is all in the good of the community to support this amazing cause.
One of the very popular events that will be taking place throughout the festival is the “Taste of Napa” on Saturday July 13th. Spend the day enjoying fabulous food and wine from over 70 Napa Wineries and even some Sonoma wineries! In addition there will of course be live music throughout the afternoon and a market with local vendors.
There are a lot of key components to the itinerary for the festival’s agenda of performances, dinners, etc. So depending on if you purchase a patron pass, make sure to look at all the activities you will have access to throughout the weekend as you will not want to miss any of the fun!
