The holidays are a special time in wine country. Locals and visitors alike enjoy all the fun activities in town that stir up that seasonal spirit we love. With the mild climate and sigh of relief after harvest, the community comes together to celebrate. We enjoyed a full year of Sonoma wine tasting and Napa wine tasting, exploring wineries all over with educational and fun tours. Now it’s the highly anticipated holiday season and we can’t wait to explore all the fun to come.
How to Spend Your Holiday season this Year
There are many fun events happening throughout the region. As always, you can enjoy Napa wine tasting and Sonoma wine tasting, amazing dining, music events, and family-friendly activities. Check out just a few events happening:
- ABBA-solutely Christmas at Napa Valley Performing Arts center: Internationally touring and highly anticipated ABBA-tribute group is performing the original “Mama Mia” songs we all love on Dec. 22 at 7:30pm. Buy tickets in advance!
- St Helena Jingle All the Way: Through Dec 28, come to Lyman Park on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-8pm and noon 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Festivities include holiday entertainment and ice skating. Come see Santa and have some food and holiday cheer!
- Santa Train: Now through Dec 28th is the wine train’s Santa Train where you’ll head to the “North Pole” (Yountville) and enjoy holiday cookies, hot cocoa, and musical entertainment with Santa along the way. Times are at 5pm and 7:15pm. Don’t miss this fun tradition!
- New Year’s Eve Dinner and Jazz: The Meritage Resort is hosting this special dinner event from 6pm until 12:30am for the New Year’s Eve celebration. Dine on gourmet food, experience your own Napa wine tasting and Sonoma wine tasting with the extensive cellar collection, and toast with champagne to the new year.
