Since 1998, husband and wife team of Spencer Graham and Elizabeth Pressler have lived their dream. Today they continue to produce small-lots of refined wines from Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino County. A historic 1872 brick Post Office building serves as a tasting room.
Established in 1982, Etude was founded on the philosophy that winemaking begins in the vineyard, long before harvest, and that superior grape growing allows our winemakers to craft wines of exceptional varietal expression and finesse. This ethos remains unwavering as the winery continues to build upon its established legacy of exemplary Pinot Noir.
Frias Family Vineyard was founded with their first official vintage in 1991. With 100 acres purchased in 1977 and only 5 acres planted in 1985, they focused on producing the finest Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon along with a small production red blend, Sauvignon Blanc and Rose. The operation is small and family owned. Everyone helps carry out this labor of love by participating in nurturing the vines, blending, bottling and (of course) quality control!
Their guiding philosophy is quite simple: great wines always begin with exceptional fruit. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, they farm their five estate vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. They are all certified organic.
